This year it's not as abvious as in previous years in my experience. There has always been some scripting in PES. I think it might be that scripting affects The AI opponent quite a bit in certain situations. So I don't know how assist is being influenced by scripting. The whole experience just feels to lack any real and consistent control, yea sure for a little bit of the game you can do what you want (but even then thats unpredictable - see paragraph above) but for the most part you're tunnelled just like previous versions, if not even more in this one.ĭoes no one think this or am I the only one? It feels as though the AI is controlling the outcome of situations moreso in this game that any other.everything is inconsistent and unpredictable which some people might say is great but for me if I am smart enough to know when to sidestep and I have the ability to do that then I would prefer that to work 100% of the right time, in PES 17 that doesn't happen it might happen once but then you try it again (same situation) and the AI just takes the ball (usually in an unrealistic manner). When playing competitively (online, Vs, high difficulty) the gameplay periodically changes - so for large parts of a match: Passes can be slower, players move slower, controls sometimes dont work, your players will take 'extra' touches thus forcing you to lose the ball, the same type of shot over and over, AI speeds up, your supporting players offer no support - I could go on and on but for large parts of a match all this happens until for a short time it stops and my players do what they're supposed to and I usually score, then it's back to the above which is merely a grind-a-thon with a fixed outcome. It's a case of PES having split personality (again), the gameplay just feels so controlled from the top down.
